Perantara

Perantara is a VFX trailer edit made by my group and I for our digital video compositing class on our second year. It uses clips from the movie Nanti Kita Cerita tentang Hari Ini and twists it into a futuristic Ghost in the Shell-like setting.

I was tasked with creating a scene in the middle of the trailer (scene 01) as well as the end scene (scene 02). For scene 01, the focal point were the cat paws, which were vectors turned into randomized RGB LED lights patterns. Scene 02 is heavy on tracking, featuring the previous LED effect for toxic advertisement billboards (smoking, skin-whitening), as well as Ghost in the Shell inspired giant hologram depictions of the traditional culture of the city it is set in, Jakarta.

The aim of this trailer is to showcase what a dystopian and caricaturized rendition of the future may look like in the city of Jakarta.
